I have to admit, upon first hearing of a thing called "blogging", I was quite skeptical. "Why the hell would anyone want to write about themselves all day?" I asked myself. People who write in blogs solely about themselves and their lives befuddle me. Not everyone is completely fascinated with the day to day, petty occurrences of everyone's everyday life. Which is why my blog will consist of very little personal information about myself or life experiences.
In this blog, there will of course be some tidbits about myself, and it is imminent that my personality be infused in my words and other material to some extent, but you will find no biography here. I intend to remain nameless and faceless, letting my words, thoughts, and things I share with you speak for themselves.
The whole world is on the internet, reading and learning new things every day. With the advance of technology, the world has become small, and very much connected to everything. With a blog, a person can share their thoughts and opinions, but they can also spread concepts and ideas. Hopefully, these concepts and ideas will in some way affect a person, who will then affect another person, and the chain will continue. Not all that I share or say will I even consider of great importance, but some of it, hopefully, will be.
Essentially, this is my way of expressing my thoughts, sharing my opinions and beliefs. If we cease to think, and express those thoughts, we lose our individuality and our humanity. If we just sit back and let others speak for us and make our opinions for us based on broad generalizations, then we begin to submit, to become complacent and docile. I don't expect anyone to read or think or write things that are always revolutionary or life-altering, but you never know who will be affected by the tidbits you put out there, or what they'll do with them.
